Murti painting cost in Delhi NCR is one of the most common questions we receive, and the honest answer is that it depends on the murti. Two idols of the same height can need very different amounts of work. This guide explains what decides the price so that you can compare quotes sensibly.
1. Material of the Murti
Marble, fiber, stone, plaster and wooden idols each take paint differently. The preparation, the type of colour layers and the finishing method change with the material, which affects the time and effort involved.
2. Height and Surface Area
A 9 inch murti has far less surface to prepare and paint than a 36 or 48 inch murti. Larger murtis also need more careful handling, drying time and sometimes a team of artisans.
3. Present Condition
A murti with light fading needs a very different process from one with cracks, chipped colour or thick old paint layers. Damage has to be repaired and the surface prepared before any new colour is applied.
4. Level of Detailing
Face, eyes, jewellery, clothing borders and small decorative patterns are painted by hand. The more detailed the murti, the more time the finishing needs.
5. Shringar Work
Gold or warak work, stone decoration and other ornamental elements are added on top of the base finish. If you want a rich ceremonial look, this naturally adds to the estimate.
6. Location and Service Type
Some murtis can be painted at your home or mandir, while others are better handled at the workshop. We cover Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad. Visit our murti painting and shringar service page for the full list of services.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the estimate free?
Yes. Send photos, height, material and location on WhatsApp and we will tell you the scope of work and give an estimate without any obligation.
Does a bigger murti always cost more?
Usually, because surface area and handling increase. Condition, detailing and shringar work matter just as much as height.
